- Ο όρος Καταστροφή της Καντάνου αναφέρεται στην ολική καταστροφή του χωριού Κάντανος στη Δυτική Κρήτη και τη δολοφονία των περίπου 180 κατοίκων του στις 3 Ιουνίου 1941 από τις Γερμανικές δυνάμεις κατοχής κατά τον Β΄ Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο. Η διαταγή δόθηκε από τον Συνταγματάρχη Κουρτ Στουντέντ ως αντίποινα για τη συμμετοχή των κατοίκων του χωριού στη μάχη της Κρήτης.
