- Die Pont d’Aël ist eine römische Aquäduktbrücke im gleichnamigen Ortsteil der Gemeinde Aymavilles im Aostatal in Italien. Sie wurde im Jahr 3 v. Chr. bei Augusta Praetoria, dem heutigen Aosta, für die Bewässerung und zur Versorgung einer Erzwäsche für die neugegründete Kolonie erbaut. Die in einem Nebental 66 m über der Talsohle gelegene Brücke trug einen technisch ausgereiften, insgesamt 6 km langen Aquädukt. Neben ihrer ungewöhnlichen Lage weist die ursprünglich vermutlich dreistöckige Konstruktion weitere Besonderheiten wie einen Kontrollgang unter der Wasserleitung sowie ihre ausdrücklich private Finanzierung auf. Im ehemaligen Wasserkanal verläuft heute ein Wanderweg. (de)

J.-C. pour l'irrigation et l'approvisionnement en eau d'Augusta Prætoria Salassorum, aujourd'hui Aoste, qui venait d'être fondée. Ce pont, situé à 66 m au-dessus du fond de la vallée, soutenait un aqueduc avancé du point de vue technique, mesurant 6 km de long. Outre à sa position, il présente également d'autres particularités, telles qu'une galerie de contrôle au-dessous de la conduite d'eau et le financement entièrement privé pour la construction. L'ancienne conduite d'eau est utilisée de nos jours pour le passage d'un sentier de randonnées. (fr)
- The Pont d'Aël is a Roman aqueduct located in a village of the same name in the comune of Aymavilles in Aosta Valley, northern Italy. It was built in the year 3BC for irrigation purposes and supplying water for the newly founded colony of Augusta Praetoria, which is now known as Aosta. The water was directed through a neighbouring valley 66 m above the floor of the Aosta valley, through a sophisticated system. The aqueduct is 6 km long in total. In addition to its unusual position, the construction, which was originally thought to be a three-story structure, shows more unique features such as a control corridor below the water line, as well as explicit private funding. Today, the water channel of the aqueduct serves as a public walking trail. Besides the Pont d'Aël, two other Roman bridges in the Aosta valley are still intact: the Pont-Saint-Martin in the town of the same name and the Pont de Pierre in Aosta. (en)

Fu edificato nel 3 a.C. per l'irrigazione e il rifornimento di un lavaggio di minerale per la colonia di Augusta Prætoria Salassorum, l'odierna Aosta, allora appena fondata. Il ponte, situato all'entrata della val di Cogne, una valle laterale, 66 metri al di sopra del fondovalle, sostiene un acquedotto tecnicamente avanzato, lungo in totale 6 km. Oltre alla sua posizione insolita, la costruzione (originariamente presumibilmente su tre livelli) presenta ulteriori particolarità, come una galleria di controllo sotto la conduttura dell'acqua e il suo finanziamento espressamente privato.
