- Mit dem Perthes-Test wird die Durchgängigkeit der tiefen Beinvenen und deren Kollateralen bzw. die Funktionsfähigkeit der Venenklappen geprüft (also im Rahmen der Diagnostik der Veneninsuffizienz). Er ist nach Georg Clemens Perthes (1869–1927) benannt, der auch den Morbus Perthes als erster beschrieb. Dazu wird am Oberschenkel unterhalb der Mündungsstelle der Vena saphena magna in die Vena femoralis und oberhalb der vorhandenen oberflächlichen Krampfadern (Varizen) eine Staubinde angelegt, womit sich die Krampfadern zunächst prall füllen. Durch Betätigen der Muskelpumpe, zum Beispiel, indem der Patient auf den Zehen wippt, sollten sich die Krampfadern bei offenen und klappensuffizienten Verbindungsvenen (Perforansvenen) entleeren und sich damit das Perthes-Zeichen negativ zeigen. Allerdings müssen hier auch die tiefen Beinvenen durchgängig sein. Werden die Venen praller, so ist das Perthes-Zeichen positiv, es liegt somit ein Hinweis auf die Insuffizienz der tiefen Beinvenen und Umgehungsvenen vor. (de)
- The Perthes test is a clinical test for assessing the patency of the deep femoral vein prior to varicose vein surgery. It is named after German surgeon Georg Perthes. The limb is elevated and an elastic bandage is applied firmly from the toes to the upper 1/3 of the thigh to obliterate the superficial veins only. With the bandage applied the patient is asked to walk for 5 minutes. If deep system is competent, the blood will go through and back to the heart.If the deep system is incompetent, the patient will feel pain in the leg. - Il test di Perthes è un test clinico per valutare la pervietà della vena femorale profonda prima di un'operazione chirurgica della vena varicosa. Prende il nome dal chirurgo tedesco Georg Perthes. In un paziente in piedi, che presenta vene varicose rigonfie, si applica un laccio emostatico al terzo inferiore della coscia e poi lo si fa camminare e flettere l'arto. Se le vene profonde sono aperte le varici si svuoteranno immediatamente, se ciò non avviene si può ipotizzare un'ostruzione del circolo venoso profondo.
