- The People's Alliance for Progress (Dutch: Volksalliantie Voor Vooruitgang) is a political alliance in Suriname, led by Jules Wijdenbosch. At the last legislative elections (25 May 2005), the alliance won 14.5% of the popular vote and 5 out of 51 seats in the National Assembly.The alliance is formed by:
* Democratic National Platform 2000 (Democratisch Nationaal Platform 2000)
* Basic Party for Renewal and Democracy (Basispartij voor Vernieuwing en Democratie)
* Party for National Unity and Solidarity (Kerukanan Tulodo Pranatan Ingit)

- De Volksalliantie Voor Vooruitgang (VVV) was een Surinaamse alliantie van politieke partijen die meedeed aan de parlementsverkiezingen van 2005. De alliantie deed alleen dat jaar mee en moet niet verward worden met de VolksAlliantie die in 2010 meedeed. De alliantie bestond uit de volgende partijen met hun respectievelijke voorzitters/leiders:
* Democratisch Nationaal Platform 2000 (DNP 2000, opgericht 27 februari 2000), Errol Alibux (voorzitter) en Jules Wijdenbosch (leider)
* Basispartij voor Vernieuwing en Democratie (BVD), Tjan Gobardhan
