- Le Parti populaire ou Parti du Peuple (persan : حزب مردم; Mardom), aussi appelé parti Mardom, était un parti politique libéral sous l'ère Pahlavi en Iran. Il était l'un des deux principaux partis créés par le shah qui souhaitait établir un système à deux partis, en opposition au Parti du Nouvel Iran, autrefois connu comme le Parti des Nationalistes, pour promouvoir al variété politique. It was one of two major parties in the apparent attempt to decree a two-party system by Mohammad Reza Shah, apparently opposition to the ruling New Iran Party and previously Nationalists' Party. The party was dissolved in 1975, in order to be merged into the newly founded Resurgence Party, the only legal party in the Shah's attempted single-party system. (en)
