The People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) (Dutch: Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Democratie) is a Dutch liberal political party. The VVD is the most vociferous supporter of private enterprise in the Netherlands — although supportive of the welfare state — and is often perceived as a centre-right, conservative liberal, or market liberal party, in contrast to the social-liberal D66.

Es el cuatro partido más grande de los Países Bajos por número de militantes y por representación parlamentaria. El VVD fue fundado en 1948 a partir de la fusión entre dos partidos liberales. El VVD ha sido tradicionalmente (hasta las elecciones de 2006) el tercer mayor partido político del país, por detrás del Partido del Trabajo (PvdA) y la Llamada Demócrata Cristiana (CDA). Entre 2002 y 2006 algunos parlamentarios abandonaron el partido (aunque no el escaño), reduciendo su representación parlamentaria.
