Patrick Barnabas Burke Mayhew, Baron Mayhew of Twysden, Kt PC (born 11 September 1929) is a British barrister, and Conservative Party politician. He was educated at Tonbridge School and Balliol College, Oxford. He was called to the Bar from the Middle Temple in 1955.

He was educated at Tonbridge School and Balliol College, Oxford. He was called to the Bar from the Middle Temple in 1955. He was Member of Parliament for Tunbridge Wells from its creation at the February 1974 general election, standing down at the 1997 election. Knighted in 1983 as Sir Patrick Mayhew, he was Solicitor General for England and Wales from 1983 to 1987, and then Attorney General for England and Wales from 1987 to 1992. He was Secretary of State for Northern Ireland from 1992 to 1997, the longest anyone has served in this office. On 12 June 1997, he was made Baron Mayhew of Twysden, of Kilndown in the County of Kent. Mayhew has Irish connections. His mother was a Roche, the family name of the lords of Fermoy. This caused an Irish negotiator to refer to him as "a West Cork Brit". (en)

Był parlamentarnym podsekretarzem stanu w ministerstwie zatrudnienia w latach 1979-1981. Przez następne dwa lata był ministrem stanu w ministerstwie spraw wewnętrznych. W 1983 r. otrzymał tytuł szlachecki i stanowisko Radcy Generalnego Anglii i Walii. W 1987 r. został prokuratorem generalnym. Po wyborach 1992 r. został ministrem ds. Irlandii Północnej.
