- Zarážka je nástroj většinou ve tvaru klínu používaná pro zajištění pohyblivých předmětů proti nechtěnému pohybu. Nejčastěji se zarážka používá u dopravních prostředků, u kterých se vloží před a/nebo za kolo. Dalším častým použitím je zajištění dveří proti zavírání. Kromě tvaru klínu se používají tvary specializované pro konkrétní použití. Tyto tvary z tvaru klínu mnohdy vycházejí. (cs)
- Als Radvorleger bezeichnet man bei der Eisenbahn eine Vorrichtung, mit dem abgestellte Schienenfahrzeuge, z. B. zum Be- oder Entladen bereitgestellte Güterwagen, festgelegt, also gegen unbeabsichtigtes Entlaufen gesichert werden können. Allgemein gebräuchlich sind heute Radvorleger mit Auflaufzungen, ähnlich einem Hemmschuh, oder Keilen, die neben einem Rad des Fahrzeuges an einer der beiden Schienen festgeschraubt und abgeschlossen werden können und so das unbeabsichtigte Bewegen von Fahrzeugen verhindern. Es werden sowohl einseitig als auch doppelseitig wirkende Radvorleger benutzt. Statt eines Radvorlegers dürfen auch zwei Hemmschuhe, die beidseitig des Rades aufgelegt werden, oder Feststellbremsen zum Sichern von Fahrzeugen verwendet werden. Auch im Flugverkehr werden die Keile, die bei Flugzeugen beim Abstellen auf den Plätzen des Flugplatzes eingesetzt werden, als Radvorleger bezeichnet.

The huge haul trucks, which can weigh up to 450 tonnes, require a much larger wheel chock that itself will weigh almost 40 kilograms. These circumstances will benefit from urethane wheel chocks that are lightweight enough to be maneuvered, yet can withstand the responsibility of holding a truck if a brake should fail. The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) has established standards that wheel chocks are used when a vehicle is parked on a grade, and OSHA has guidelines that require wheel chocks during loading or unloading of a heavy truck.
