Paf grundades den 31 oktober 1966 och spelverksamheten började 1967. Från och med augusti 2008 har Paf sponsrat Atlético de Madrid i den spanska fotbollsligan Primera División. Företaget bjöd i juni 2009, som ett led i samarbetet, in laget till Mariehamn för en vänskapsmatch mot det lokala Tipsliga-laget IFK Mariehamn.
