- Die Organisation der Juden in Bulgarien „Schalom“ (bulgarisch Организацията на евреите в България „Шалом“) beschäftigt sich mit der Koordination der unterschiedlichen jüdischen Gemeinden in Bulgarien, wo etwa 1400 Juden leben. Sie fungiert als Schirmorganisation und schließt alle Bereiche jüdischen Lebens in Form einer Vielfalt von Programmen und Projekten ein. Schalom hat unter anderem folgende Tätigkeitsbereiche:
* Aufrechterhaltung und Förderung der jüdischen Werte und Traditionen in ethnischer, sprachlicher und kultureller Hinsicht
* Verteidigung der konstitutionellen Rechte seiner Mitglieder sowie aller Juden in Bulgarien gegenüber dem Staat, dessen Organen und anderen öffentlichen und politischen Einrichtungen im Land
* Tätigkeiten zum Abbau jeglicher Form von Rassismus, Totalitarismus, antidemokratischer Tendenzen, Faschismus, Antisemitismus und Nationalchauvinismus
* Zusammenarbeit mit jeglichen Gesellschaften und Organisationen im In- und Ausland, die den Prinzipien der Demokratie und Menschenrechte entsprechen
* Organisation von Seminaren, schulischen Einrichtungen und anderen Ausbildungsstätten
* Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und Popularisierung jüdischer Werte
* Förderung von Erziehung und Kultur
* Organisation von Konzerten, Theaterstücken und Buchpräsentationen
* Erstellung von Datenarchiven
* Aufrechterhaltung der historischen jüdischen Stätten (Synagogen, Gräber, Denkmäler usw.) Seit 2005 leisten junge Österreicher einen Gedenkdienst bei Schalom. (de)
- La Organización de judíos en Bulgaria (OJB) coordina los diferentes municipios judíos, los que contienen alrededor de 8000 judíos, en Bulgaria. El trabajo de esta organización consiste en crear una gran variedad de programas y proyectos en el ámbito de la forma de vida judía. Shalom- OJB contiene las siguientes actividades:
* conservar y fomentar los valores y las tradiciones judías de manera étnica, lingüística y cultural
* defender los derechos constitucionales de los miembros de la organización, así como la de todos los judíos en Bulgaria frente al estado, sus órganos y otras instituciones públicas y políticas en el país
* actividades contra el racismo, totalitarismo, tendencias antidemocráticas, fascismo, antisemitismo y chauvinismo nacional
* el trabajo en conjunto con organizaciones dentro y fuera del país que corresponden a los principios de la democracia y de los derechos humanos
* organización de seminarios, instalaciones educativas y otros sitios formación
* relaciones públicas y la popularización de valores judíos
* fomento de la educación familiar y la cultura
* organización de conciertos, teatro y presentaciones de libros
* creación de archivos
* conservar los lugares históricos (sinagoga, fosas, monumentos etc.) Desde el año 2005 un joven austriaco apoya este trabajo a través del Servicio Austriaco en el Extranjero y del Servicio Austriaco de la Memoria. (es)
- The Organization of the Jews in Bulgaria (OJB) coordinates the different Jewish communities in Bulgaria, a country where about 8000 Jews live. This organization organizes programs and projects. The tasks of Shalom – OJB are mainly:
* Keeping up and promoting the Jewish values and traditions regarding ethnological, linguistic and cultural aspects
* Defending the constitutional rights of its members as well as of all Jews in Bulgaria against the state, its organs and other public and political facilities of the state
* Supporting the reduction of racism, totalitarianism, antidemocratical tendencies, fascism, anti-Semitism and national chauvinism in any kind
* Cooperating with any societies and organizations at home and abroad which correlate to the principles of democracy and human rights
* Organizing seminars, academic facilities and other training centers
* Marketing and popularization of the Jewish values
* Promoting education and culture
* Organizing concerts, stage plays and book presentations
* Building up data archives
* Maintaining the historical sites (synagogues, graves, memorials etc.) (en)
