The name was later re-worked in 1979 for the "new" generation of Rock n Roll influenced stars of the day, this time round the show included, Shakin' Stevens, Alvin Stardust, and Joe Brown. Joe Brown was the only one of the artists who was performing across the UK in the 50s to appear on the 70s Oh Boy! show. Alvin Stardust first emerged on the 1950s scene as Shane Fenton and the Fentones and re-invented himself as Alvin in the 70s. (en)
