Neoparrya is a monotypic plant genus in the carrot family Apiaceae. It is native to western central U.S.A., Colorado and New Mexico. The only known species is Neoparrya lithophila Mathias Bill's neoparrya. The genus name of Neoparrya is in honour of Charles Christopher Parry (1823–1890), who was a British-American botanist and mountaineer. The genus and the species were circumscribed by Mildred Esther Mathias in Ann. Missouri Bot. Gard. vol.16 on page 393 in 1929. Former known species, Neoparrya megarrhiza (A.Nelson) W.A.Weber
