- Museo Nacional de Arqueología de Bolivia ist ein bolivianisches Museum in La Paz. Das Museum widmet sich der präkolumbischen Geschichte Boliviens vor der europäischen Kolonisierung Südamerikas. Verwaltet wird das Museum vom bolivianischen Nationalinstitut für Archäologie, das zum bolivianischen Kulturministerium gehört. Im Museum werden Gegenstände wie Keramiken, bemalte Objekte aus Stein, Metallgegenstände und geschnitzte Skulpturen gezeigt. Das Museumsgebäude wurde nach einem Erlass des bolivianischen Präsidenten Bautista Saavedra vom 22. Mai 1922 errichtet. Bis 1959 enthielt das Museum verschiedene Forschungsgebiete und wurde erst am 31. Januar 1960 durch Entscheidung von als ausschließliches Nationales Museum für Archäologie in Bolivien gestaltet. (de)

Está ubicado en el Palacio Tiwanaku que fue declarado Monumento Nacional en 1990. Es el museo más antiguo del país desde que comenzó a funcionar el año 1838, cuando el mariscal Andrés de Santa Cruz ordenó la creación de un museo para mostrar las riquezas mineras, muestras de la diversidad de fauna y flora, objetos etnográficos y arqueológicos de Bolivia. It is located in the capital of La Paz, two blocks east of the Prado. Operated by the National Institute of Archaeology, a specialized agency of the Deputy Minister of Culture, it is said to be the most prominent museum in Bolivia. The museum represents the cultural antecedents of the Bolivian people from the pre-Columbian era. There are displays of carved sculptures, as well as ceramic and painted objects in stone and metals.
