- Die Nordamerikanische Fußballmeisterschaft ist ein Oberbegriff für vier Fußballturniere von Nationalmannschaften, die unter verschiedenen Auspizien 1947 und 1949 sowie 1990 und 1991 jeweils im Ligaformat ausgetragen wurden. Teilnehmer waren die USA und Mexiko sowie in den ersten beiden Jahren Kuba und in den 1990er Jahren Kanada. Mexiko gewann dreimal, Kanada 1990. 1947 und 1949 wurde die Veranstaltung durch die North American Football Confederation (NAFC) organisiert. 1947 wurden die USA, die ihre ersten Länderspiele seit einem Jahrzehnt austrugen, effektiv vom seinerzeitigen Spitzenverein aus Fall River in Massachusetts vertreten. Mexiko, hier trainiert vom ungarischen Star György „Jorge“ Orth, blieb in seinen 13 Länderspielen seit 1934 ohne Niederlage. Das Turnier von 1949 diente gleichzeitig als Qualifikation für die Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 1950. 1990 und 1991, nach dem zwischenzeitlichen Zusammenschluss von NAFC und der Confederación Centroamericana y del Caribe de Fútbol (CCCF) 1962 zur CONCACAF, wurde die Nordamerikanische Meisterschaft kurzzeitig wiederbelebt. Es nahmen die nordamerikanischen Nationen der CONCACAF, nämlich Kanada, Mexiko und die USA, teil. Die USA bestritten das Turnier von 1990 mit ihrer B-Auswahl. (de)

- Le Championnat d'Amérique du Nord des nations était une compétition de football, aujourd'hui disparue, qui se disputait entre les nations membres de la Confédération nord-américaine de football (NAFC) puis de la Union nord-américaine de football (NAFU). La dernière édition a eu lieu en 1991 et cette compétition a été supprimée La compétition a lieu quatre fois sur deux périodes distinctes. Les deux premières éditions se déroulent juste après la Seconde Guerre mondiale en 1947 et 1949 et sont organisées par la NAFC. Ces deux compétitions sont aussi connues sous le nom de Championnat de la NAFC. En 1961, la NAFC fusionne avec la Confédération centre-américaine et caribéenne de football (CCCF) au sein de la Confédération de l'Amérique du Nord, centrale et Caraïbes de football association (CONCACAF), qui organise de 1963 à 1989 le Championnat de la CONCACAF. Après plus de 40 ans d'interruption, la NAFU réintroduit le Championnat d'Amérique du Nord des nations en 1990. Une quatrième et dernière édition du tournoi a lieu en mars 1991. La compétition est alors supprimée afin de pouvoir mettre en place la Gold Cup, le Championnat d'Amérique du Nord, d'Amérique centrale et de la Caraïbes des nations qui a lieu pour la première fois en juin et juillet 1991. - Het NAFC-kampioenschap was een voetbaltoernooi voor landenteams dat werd georganiseerd door de in 1946 opgerichte North American Football Confederation (NAFC) de voetbalbond waarbij Canada, Cuba, Mexico en de Verenigde Staten waren aangesloten. In 1947 werd het eerste toernooi in Cuba georganiseerd, hierbij nam namens de Verenigde Staten de amateurclub uit Fall River (Massachusetts) deel. Het tweede toernooi in 1949, wat tevens als het kwalificatietoernooi gold voor de WK 1950, werd in Mexico-Stad gespeeld. Canada ontbrak op beide toernooien. Nadat de NAFC en de in 1938 opgerichte Confederación Centroamericana y del Caribe de Fútbol (CCCF) in 1961 samengingen in de CONCACAF werd het CONCACAF-kampioenschap georganiseerd (de directe voorloper van de CONCACAF Gold Cup) en verving deze het NAFC- en het CCCF kampioenschap, dat tussen 1941-1961 tien edities telde. In 1990, 41 jaar na de tweede editie, organiseerde de NAFU in Canada een nieuw toernooi voor landenteams onder de naam North American Nations Cup en als opvolger van het NAFC-kampioenschap gezien kan worden. De drielidstaten, Canada, Mexico en de Verenigde Staten, namen eraan deel. In 1991 volgde een toernooi in de Verenigde Staten.
