- El Nayaks Musunuris foren uns reis guerrers del sud de l'Índia al segle xiv, que van ser breument importants a la regió de Telangana. Els nayaks Musunuris pertanyien al grup social Kamma i la història de la dinastia Musunuri pot ser traçada ja des del segle XIII en una inscripció a la població de Jammipalli. Eren caps guerrers de l'exèrcit Kakatiya, que van retornar a Andhradesa el 1326 des del sultanat de Delhi seguint a la derrota Kakatiya. Prominents entre els retornats hi havia Musunuri Prolaya Nayak i Musunuri Kapaya Nayak, també coneguts respectivament com a Prolaaneedu i Musunuri Kaapaaneedu. (ca)

- The Musunuri Nayakas were warrior kings of 14th-century South India who were briefly significant in the region of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Musunuri Kapaya Nayaka is said to have taken a leadership role among the Andhra chieftains and driven out the Delhi Sultanate from Warangal. But his rise was soon challenged by the Bahmani Sultanate and he was defeated. The Recherla Nayakas wrested power from him in 1368. (en)

Krishn Naig [Kapaya Nayak] promised, on his part also, that when their plans were ripe for execution, to raise all the Hindoos of Wurungole and Telingana and put himself at their head....
