- كهوف موستانغ أو كهوف السماء هي عبارة عن مجموعة من حوالي 10000 كهف من صنع الإنسان تم حفرها في جوانب الوديان في منطقة موستانغ في نيبال. قامت عدة مجموعات من علماء الآثار والباحثين بإستكشاف هذه الكهوف المكدسة ووجدوا أجسادًا وهياكل عظمية محنطة جزئيًا تعود إلى 2000-3000 عام على الأقل. أدى إستكشافات هذه الكهوف من قبل المحافظين وعلماء الآثار أيضًا إلى إكتشاف لوحات بوذية ثمينة ومنحوتات ومخطوطات والعديد من القطع الأثرية التي تعود إلى القرنين الثاني عشر والرابع عشر. تقع الكهوف على جدران الأودية شديدة الإنحدار بالقرب من نهر كالي غانداكي في موستانغ العليا. استمرت مجموعات البحث في التحقيق في هذه الكهوف، لكن لم يفهم أحد بعد من بنى الكهوف ولماذا تم بناؤها. الموقع مُدرج حاليًا كموقع مؤقت لليونسكو منذ عام 1996. - Mustang Caves or Sky Caves of Nepal are a collection of some 10,000 man-made caves dug into the sides of valleys in the Mustang District of Nepal. Several groups of archaeologists and researchers have explored these stacked caves and found partially mummified human bodies and skeletons that are at least 2,000–3,000 years old. Explorations of these caves by conservators and archaeologists have also led to the discovery of valuable Buddhist paintings, sculptures, manuscripts and numerous artifacts belonging to the 12th to 14th century. The caves lie on the steep valley walls near the Kali Gandaki River in Upper Mustang. Research groups have continued to investigate these caves, but no one has yet understood who built the caves and why they were built. The site is currently listed as a UNESCO tentative site since 1996. (en)
- Le grotte del Mustang o grotte Celesti del Nepal sono un gruppo di circa 10.000 grotte scavate dall'uomo nei fianchi delle valli del Distretto del Mustang in Nepal. Parecchi gruppi di archeologi e di ricercatori hanno esplorato queste grotte sovrapposte e trovato corpi e scheletri umani parzialmente mummificati che hanno almeno 2.000-3.000 anni. Le esplorazioni hanno portato anche alla scoperta di preziose pitture, sculture e manoscritti buddhisti nonché di numerosi manufatti risalenti fra il XII e il XIV secolo. Le grotte giacciono sulle ripide pareti della valle vicino al fiume Kali Gandaki nel Mustang Superiore. I gruppi di ricerca hanno continuato a indagare su queste grotte, ma nessuno ha ancora compreso chi le abbia costruite e perché. (it)
