- Eine Mehrhalsgitarre (engl. multi-neck guitar) ist eine Gitarre mit mehreren, mit Griffbrett bewehrten Hälsen. Es gibt sie sowohl als E-Gitarre als auch als Akustik-Gitarre. Obwohl mehrhälsige Gitarren heutzutage sehr verbreitet sind, sind sie keine moderne Erfindung. Belege für mehrhälsige Gitarren und Lauten gehen zurück bis in die Renaissance. Die bekannteste mehrhälsige Gitarre ist die Doppelhalsgitarre (engl. Double neck guitar), deren bekannteste Form eine E-Gitarre mit zwölf Saiten auf dem oberen Hals und sechs auf dem unteren Hals ist. - A multi-neck guitar is a guitar that has multiple fingerboard necks. They exist in both electric and acoustic versions. Although multi-neck guitars are quite common today, they are not a modern invention. Examples of multi-neck guitars and lutes go back at least to the Renaissance. Today, the most common type of multi-neck guitar is the double-neck guitar, of which the most common version is an electric guitar with twelve strings on the upper neck, while the lower neck has the normal six. Combination six-string and bass guitar are also used, as well as a fretless guitar with a regular fretted guitar, or any other combination of guitar neck and pickup styles. - Una chitarra multi-manico è un particolare tipo di chitarra composta da due o più manici. Viene prodotta sia in versione acustica che elettrica. - Gitara wielogryfowa – gitara posiadająca dwa lub więcej gryfów na jednym korpusie. Najczęściej na górnym gryfie znajduje się komplet strun gitary dwunastostrunowej, a na dolnym 6 strun jak u zwykłej gitary, lub 4-strunowa gitara basowa. Zdarzają się jednak kombinacje gitary bezprogowej i zwykłej lub też jakiekolwiek inne połączenie dwóch typów gitar. Dzięki takiemu rozwiązaniu gitarzysta może szybko poruszać się między dwoma typami gitary (dwoma gryfami) bez potrzeby straty czasu na zamianę gitary. Bardzo popularnym modelem gitary dwugryfowej jest Gibson EDS-1275, spopularyzowany przez gitarzystę Led Zeppelin Jimmy'ego Page'a, który użył go przy wykonywaniu „Stairway to Heaven”. (pl)
