- Mickey's Good Deed (also called Mickey's Lucky Break and Mickey Plays Santa in certain home media releases) is a 1932 animated short film produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by United Artists. Set during the Christmas season and the contemporary Great Depression, the cartoon centers on Mickey's act of charity to bring Christmas to a poor family. The film was directed by Burt Gillett and features the voices of Walt Disney as Mickey and Pinto Colvig as Pluto. It was the 50th Mickey Mouse short, and the 14th of that year. Mickey's Good Deed is the first "Mickey Mouse" titled cartoon to develop with RCA's Photophone synchronized early-in-film sound system. Mickey's Good Deed was Mickey's second Christmas themed film after Mickey's Orphans (1931). (en)

Venne prodotto dalla Walt Disney Productions e uscì negli Stati Uniti il 17 dicembre 1932, distribuito dalla United Artists. Ambientato durante il periodo natalizio al culmine della grande depressione, raffigura Topolino e il suo cane Pluto come poveri artisti di strada che cercano di rendere felice il Natale di una famiglia ancora più povera. Fu il secondo film di Topolino a tema natalizio dopo Gli orfani di Topolino (1931) e fu il primo a rappresentare un Topolino impoverito. L'edizione italiana del film è colorata al computer. Quella in bianco e nero è stata invece inserita (senza titoli di testa e di coda) nello speciale in VHS Le più belle storie di Natale di Walt Disney, uscito nel dicembre 2001. (it)
