Michael Williams is an American politician and businessman. He served as a Republican member of the Georgia State Senate from Senate District 27, covering the majority of Forsyth County. He was also a candidate for Governor of Georgia, but was defeated in the 2018 primary. First elected to the Georgia State Senate in 2014, Williams defeated longtime Republican incumbent State Senator Jack Murphy in a runoff election.
