- Maria "Marie" Dollinger-Hendrix (28 October 1910 – 10 August 1994) was a German track and field athlete who competed in sprinting events and the 800 metres. She represented Germany at three consecutive Olympic Games: 1928, 1932 and 1936. She set an early Olympic record for the 800 m then the 100 m four years later. She was an 800 m finalist in 1928 and placed fourth in the 100 m at both the 1932 and 1936 Olympics. She had most success with the 4×100 metres relay team, setting a world record at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, although the team were disqualified in the final for a dropped baton. Outside of the Olympics she won an 800 m silver medal at the 1930 Women's World Games, a relay gold medal at the 1934 Women's World Games, and several medals at the Olympics of Grace competition. Individually, in her career she won six titles at the German Athletics Championships and equalled the 800 m world record as well as the European record in the 200 m (neither were ratified). After retirement in 1936 she married fellow Olympic sprinter Friedrich Hendrix and their daughter, Brunhilde Hendrix, later won an Olympic medal in the relay in 1960. (en)

Elle a été mariée avec l'athlète Friedrich Hendrix. Marie Dollinger a été la seule athlète allemande à avoir participé à trois éditions des Jeux olympiques d'été avant 1945. Elle n'y obtint aucune médaille. En 1928, elle n'était pas encore assez mure tactiquement et se contenta d'une place d'honneur sur 800 mètres. En 1931, elle établit sur cette distance un nouveau record du monde en 2 min 16 s 8 mais celui-ci ne fut pas reconnu car le 800 mètres n'était alors plus une distance officielle. En 1932, elle était la seule sprinteuse allemande à participer aux jeux. Aussi dut-elle s'aligner en relais 4 × 100 mètres aux côtés de trois spécialistes des lancers Grete Heublein, Ellen Braumüller et Tilly Fleischer... En 1936, elle établit un nouveau record en relais 4 × 100 mètres avec ses coéquipières Emmy Albus, Ilse Dörffeldt et Käthe Krauss pendant les séries mais cette équipe ne termina pas la finale par suite de la perte du témoin lors d'une mauvaise transmission. Sur 100 mètres, elle termina quatrième derrière trois concurrentes dont la féminité avait été par la suite remise en cause. Ainsi, Marie Dollinger resta sans médaille olympique. Mais son mari Friedrich Hendrix remporta l'argent avec le relais 4 × 100 mètres en 1932 et leur fille Brunhilde Hendrix fit de même en 1960. (fr)

Zajęła 7. miejsce w biegu na 800 metrów na igrzyskach olimpijskich w 1928 w Amsterdamie. Zdobyła srebrny medal w tej konkurencji na Światowych Igrzyskach Kobiet w 1930 w Pradze, przegrywając jedynie z Brytyjką . Później skoncentrowała się na biegach na krótkich dystansach. Zajęła 4. miejsce w biegu na 100 metrów i 6. miejsce w sztafecie 4 × 100 metrów na igrzyskach olimpijskich w 1932 w Los Angeles. Na Światowych Igrzyskach Kobiet w 1934 w Londynie zwyciężyła w sztafecie 4 × 100 metrów. Ponownie zajęła 4. miejsce w biegu na 100 metrów na igrzyskach olimpijskich w 1936 w Berlinie, natomiast w sztafecie 4 × 100 metrów (która biegła w składzie: Emmy Albus, Käthe Krauß, Dollinger i Ilse Dörffeldt) ustanowiła w eliminacjach rekord świata czasem 46,4 s. Sztafeta niemiecka prowadząc w finale zgubiła pałeczkę na ostatniej zmianie i nie ukończyła biegu. Dollinger ustanowiła dwa rekordy świata w sztafecie 4 × 100 metrów: 46,5 s (21 czerwca 1936 w Kolonii, Albus, Krauß, Dollinger i ) i 46,4 s (8 sierpnia 1936 w Berlinie, Albus, Krauß, Dollinger i Dörffeldt) oraz rekord w sztafecie 3 × 800 metrów czasem 7:48,0 (20 września 1931 w Norymberdze). Osiągnęła również wyniki lepsze od ówczesnych rekordów świata w biegu na 200 metrów (25,2 s uzyskany 28 czerwca 1932 w Ansbach) i w biegu na 800 metrów (2:16,8 uzyskany 2 sierpnia 1931 w Magdeburgu), ale nie zostały one oficjalnie zatwierdzone jako rekordy świata. Była mistrzynią Niemiec w biegu na 100 metrów w 1932 oraz wicemistrzynią na tym dystansie w latach 1933–1936. W biegu na 200 metrów była mistrzynią w 1931 i 1933 oraz wicemistrzynią w 1932 i 1934, a w biegu na 800 metrów mistrzynią w latach 1929–1931 i wicemistrzynią w 1928. Rekordy życiowe Dollinger:
* bieg na 100 metrów – 11,8 s (4 sierpnia 1935 w Berlinie)
* bieg na 200 metrów – 24,9 s (28 lipca 1934 w Norymberdze)

* skok w dal – 5,48 m (21 czerwca 1932 w Norymberdze) Wyszła za mąż na Friedricha Hendrixa, sprintera, medalistę olimpijskiego z 1932, który zginął na froncie wschodnim w 1941. Ich córka Brunhilde Hendrix była również sprinterką, wicemistrzynią igrzysk olimpijskich w 1960 w Rzymie w sztafecie 4 × 100 metrów. (pl)
