Magdaléna Platzová (born 8 March 1972) is a Czech writer. The daughter of , a journalist, and Josef Platz, a director of documentaries, she was born in Prague. She was educated in Washington, D.C. and England; Platzová received a MA in philosophy from Charles University. During her twenties, she was a member of a Franco-Czech theater group. In the late 1990s, she was assistant to Petr Lébl at the Theatre on the Balustrade.
