- La Lunar New Year Cup, conocida anteriormente como Carlsberg Cup y Carlsberg Challenge en diversos periodos por patrocinios, es un torneo internacional de fútbol de carácter amistoso organizado por la Asociación de fútbol de Hong Kong (HKFA) desde 1908, como parte de las celebraciones por el Año Nuevo chino. El torneo fue denominado Carlsberg Cup desde 1986 hasta 1989 y desde 1993 hasta 2006, con el Grupo Carlsberg como patrocinador oficial del evento. Además, durante 2011 y 2012 se lo denominó Asian Challenge Cup. It is usually held on the first and the fourth day of the Lunar New Year as a part of the new year celebrations. The tournament was called the Carlsberg Cup from 1986 to 1989, from 1993 to 2006 as Carlsberg was the major sponsor of the event. Since the 2007 edition of the event, the competition has officially been known as the "Lunar New Year Cup" by the Hong Kong Football Association. Het wordt georganiseerd door de Hongkongse voetbalbond. De wedstrijden worden altijd gespeeld rondom het Chinees Nieuwjaar. Een voorloper van dit toernooi zijn de wedstrijden die werden georganiseerd tussen 1908 en 1973. Deze 'Exhibition Matches' (vrij vertaald: tentoonstellingwedstrijden) werden gespeeld tussen lokale clubs en een club van buiten Hongkong.
