- لوديم هو المصطلح العبري لشعب مذكور في سفر إرميا وسفر حزقيال. في جدول الكتاب العبري للأمم التكوين 10:13 وهو ابن من أبناء مصرايم. يعتقد الباحث في الكتاب المقدس فيكتور ب.هاملتون أن الأدلة المتاحة «تشير» إلى أن لوديم هو أبو الليديون. وفقا ليوسيفوس فلافيوس، كانت أرضهم في ليبيا التي كانت غرب مصر بالقرب من قبائل فوت في أرض المغاربة نحو أقصى غرب أفريقيا والمحيط الأطلسي. يذكر بلينيوس الأكبر في تاريخه الطبيعي نهر لاود على طول جنوب جبال الأطلس بالقرب من نهر فوت (فوت). سعيد الفيومي، كاتب الكتاب المقدس في العصور الوسطى، يخلط لوديم مع تانيسيان ،والذي يعتقد يوسف قافيه أنه ربما يشير إلى سكان تونس. - Με το όνομα Λουδοί εκ του Λουδ αναφέρεται αρχαίος Βιβλικός λαός για τον οποίο γίνεται λόγος σε βιβλία στη Παλαιά Διαθήκη και που οι περισσότεροι ερευνητές τους ταυτίζουν με τους Λυδούς ή Λιδίους στην αρχαία Λυδία, στη Μικρά Ασία (αν και από τα συσχετιζόμενα ονόματα της 2ης και 4ης των παραπάνω περικοπών μάλλον δείχνουν λαό της Βόρειας Αφρικής), που τον 7ο και 6ο αιώνα π.Χ. καταλήφθηκαν από τους Πέρσες. - Ludim is the Hebrew term for a people mentioned in Jeremiah and Ezekiel. In the Biblical Table of Nations Genesis 10:13 they were descended from Mizraim. The biblical scholar Victor P. Hamilton believes that the available evidence "suggests" that the Ludim are the Lydians. According to Josephus, their land was in Libya which was west of Egypt near the tribes of Phut in the land of the Moors towards the extreme west of Africa and the Atlantic Ocean. Pliny in his natural history mentions the river Laud along south of the Atlas mountains near the river Fut (Phut). Medieval biblical exegete Saadia Gaon, identifies the Ludim with Tanisiin, and which R. Yosef Qafih thought may have been referring to the inhabitants of Tunis. These Ludim should not be confused with another group who were said to descend from Lud, son of Shem, son of Noah. Ludim is sometimes thought to be a scribal error for Lubim, in reference to Libyans. - Ludim (em hebraico: לודים) é o termo hebraico para se referir à Lídia, utilizado nos livros bíblicos de Jeremias e Ezequiel. Na Tábua das Nações da Bíblia hebraica são mencionados como descendentes de Lud, filho de Sem e neto de Noé (Gênesis 10:13). De acordo com o historiador judeu-romano Flávio Josefo, sua terra teria sido destruída. Lud gerou aos ludeus, como diz a bíblia em 1 Crônicas 1:11, referindo-se aos descendentes de Mizraim. Assim como seus irmãos, Anamim, Leabim e Naftuim geraram aos anameus, leabeus e naftueus; Ludim gerou aos ludeus. Pouco se sabe destes lídios semíticos, mas poderão provavelmente ser identificados com Lubdi, que é mencionado em antigos registos cuneiformes como sendo uma região que se situava entre os rios Tigre e Eufrates.
