- Diese Liste der Boxweltmeister im Federgewicht bietet sowohl eine Übersicht über alle universellen Boxweltmeister als auch alle des ehemaligen Verbandes NYSAC sowie alle des Verbandes NBA (die NBA wurde im Jahre 1962 in WBA umbenannt) und alle der vier anerkannten und aktuell tätigen Weltverbände (WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO) im Federgewicht in chronologischen Reihenfolgen in separaten Tabellen. Die WBA-Superchampions sind sowohl in der chronologischen WBA-Tabelle als auch in einer separaten Tabelle gelistet. Der Status des Superchampions der WBA ist höher gereiht als der des regulären. Retirements from the ring periodically led to a "true" champion going unrecognized, or for several to be recognized by the public for periods of time. Typically, public interest in having a single, "true" champion resulted in claimants to the heavyweight title being matched with one another; the winner of that bout was subsequently deemed the champion, with the claim (and title lineage) of the defeated boxer largely forgotten. - Waga piórkowa jest jedną z 8 klasycznych kategorii boksu zawodowego. Została wprowadzona w latach 60. XIX w. i do lat 80. XIX w. obejmowała wagę pomiędzy 116 a 128 funtów. W roku 1889 Amateur Boxing Association of England Ltd (ABA) określił jej limit na 126 funtów. Ulegał on jeszcze zmianom do 1909 roku. Obecnie wynosi 57,2 kg (126 funtów). Pierwszym bezdyskusyjnie uznawanym mistrzem świata był od roku 1892 George Dixon. Praktycznie powszechną aprobatę mieli poprzedzający Dixona Irlandczyk Ike Weir, Nowozelandczyk Torpedo Billy Murphy oraz Australijczyk Young Griffo. Do roku 1967 praktycznie był jeden powszechnie uznawany mistrz świata. Po powstaniu nowych organizacji boksu zawodowego, każda uznaje swoich mistrzów świata i prowadzi własne listy bokserów ubiegających się o tytuł. Poniżej zestawiono mistrzów świata powszechnie uznanych oraz czterech podstawowych organizacji boksu zawodowego: - World Boxing Association (WBA) powstała w roku 1962 na bazie istniejącej od 1921 roku National Boxing Association (NBA), - World Boxing Council (WBC) założona w roku 1963, - International Boxing Federation (IBF) założona w 1983, - World Boxing Organization (WBO) założona w roku 1988. - Essa é uma lista cronológica dos campeões mundiais no boxe na categoria dos pesos-penas, iniciada a partir de 1887, quando Ike Weir derrotou Jack Farrell e passou a reivindicar o título de campeão mundial dos pesos-penas. A categoria dos pesos-penas já existia desde 1860, porém, apesar de existir uma certa controvérsia quanto ao assunto, Ike Weir costuma ser considerado como o primeiro campeão dos pesos-penas da era moderna do boxe. As organizações de boxe foram introduzidas em 1910, com a criação da União Internacional de Boxe (UIB), mais tarde rebatizada de União Européia de Boxe (UEB). Esta entidade organizou lutas entre 1913 e 1963. Mais tarde surgiram outras organizações, dentre as quais a Associação Nacional de Boxe (ANB), fundada em 1921, mas que depois passou a se chamar Associação Mundial de Boxe (AMB). Finalmente, no início da década de 60, houve uma crise no mundo do boxe, que resultou na extinção ou na fusão de diversas entidades até então existentes. Atualmente, existem quatro entidades em vigor no mundo do boxe:
* Associação Mundial de Boxe (AMB), fundada em 1921, quando ainda se chamava Associação Nacional de Boxe (ANB).
* Conselho Mundial de Boxe (CMB), criado em 1963.
