- Das Institut für Deutsche Sprache (IDS) in Mannheim, seit Frühjahr 2019 offiziell Leibniz-Institut für Deutsche Sprache (IDS), ist eine Stiftung des bürgerlichen Rechts, die sich der Sprachforschung widmet. Das Institut wurde 1964 in Mannheim gegründet und hat dort seitdem seinen Standort. Es ist die gemeinsam vom Bund und allen Bundesländern getragene zentrale wissenschaftliche Einrichtung zur Dokumentation und Erforschung der deutschen Sprache in Gegenwart und neuerer Geschichte. Es gehört zusammen mit über 90 anderen außeruniversitären Forschungsinstituten und Serviceeinrichtungen zur Leibniz-Gemeinschaft. (de)
- The Leibniz Institute for the German Language (IDS; German: Leibniz-Institut für Deutsche Sprache) in Mannheim, Germany, is a linguistic and social research institute and a member of the Leibniz Association. Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Henning Lobin, director of the institute, and Prof. Dr. Arnulf Deppermann, vice director of the institute, IDS employs a staff of about 160. The IDS was established in Mannheim in 1964 and is still headquartered there. It is the central extramural institute for research and documentation of the German language in its contemporary usage and its recent history. As a member of the Leibniz-Gemeinschaft (Leibniz-Association), the IDS is financed both by the federal government and by the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg. (en)
- Институт немецкого языка (нем. Institut für Deutsche Sprache, IDS) — организация, работающая над вопросами языковых исследований. Располагается в Маннгейме, основана в 1964 году. Принадлежит к Научному сообществу им. Лейбница. Целью организации является изучение современного состояния немецкого языка и документация всех важный сведений о его развитии. В Институте существует три отделения, каждое из которых занимается своими проектами. Отделение грамматики (Abteilung Grammatik) в настоящий момент занимается развитием проекта Grammis (грамматический онлайн-сервис); отделение лексики (Abteilung Lexik) исследует современный лексический строй немецкого языка, словоупотребление и семантику; отделение прагматики (Abteilung Pragmatik) исследует разговорный немецкий язык. Институт также располагает библиотекой, в фондах которой около 80 000 томов изданий и около 200 видов периодических журналов. Одно из отделений Института — аудиоархив (Archiv für gesprochenes Deutsch), насчитывающий 540 видео- и 15 000 аудиозаписей общей продолжительностью 5 000 часов. Каждый год в марте Институт немецкого языка проводит заседания. Финансирование производится из бюджетов Научного сообщества и земли Баден-Вюртемберг. Содействие оказывают Немецкое научно-исследовательское сообщество, ЕС, фонд Фольксвагена, город Маннгейм и союз «Freunde des Instituts für Deutsche Sprache e.V.».
