- Botanická zahrada se nachází v centru města Bruselu na rozhraní historického jádra belgické metropole a Schaerbeeku. Její adresa je situována na ulici Rue Royale. Zahrada byla založena v roce 1826 a vznikla podle návrhu architekta . Její hlavní oranžérie má podobu paláce s dvěma křídly a centrálním kruhovým prostorem. Zahradě se finančně v prvních desetiletích provozu nedařilo. Poté, co původní provozovatel musel omezit vědecký výzkum a zahájit řadu komerčních aktivit naléhal na belgickou vládu, aby zahradě pomohla. Finančně problematická se stala 40. léta 19. století. Teprve až roku 1870 ji odkoupil belgický stát a celý objekt zmodernizoval. Vznikly tak různé fontány, elektrické osvětlení a zahradu doplnily různé sochy. Celkem jich mezi lety 1894 a 1898 přibylo 52. Na jejich vzniku se podílelo 43 sochařů. Roku 1938 byla většina rostlin přenesena do nově vzniklé Národní botanické zahrady v , která se nachází na okraji metropole. Původní zahrada je nicméně dnes historickou památkou s dochovaným parkem. A to i přesto, že pod zahradou prochází železniční tunel, metro i tunel městského silničního okruhu. Dodnes se dochovala rozsáhlá kolekce velmi starých stromů v původním parku. Původní prostory oranžerie slouží dnes jako kulturní centrum s názvem Le Botanique. (cs)

In 1958, the National Botanic Garden of Belgium moved to Meise, outside of Brussels. Le Botanique opened in 1984, and the gardens in front are now the Botanical Garden of Brussels. (en)
- Le Centre culturel de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles « Le Botanique », ou plus simplement Botanique, ou Le Bota est un complexe culturel bruxellois ouvert le 23 janvier 1984 dans le site classé de l'ancien jardin botanique de Bruxelles qui avait été inauguré le 1er septembre 1829. Il est situé rue Royale, sur la commune de Saint-Josse-ten-Noode. Il a longtemps proposé une programmation variée (danse, musique, théâtre, arts plastiques, cinéma). Il est aujourd'hui spécialisé dans les concerts, dont le festival Les Nuits Botanique au printemps, ainsi que dans les expositions d'arts plastiques et de photographie. En plus de ses trois salles de spectacle (L'Orangerie, La Rotonde et le Witloof Bar) et de ses salles d'expositions (Le Museum et La Galerie), Le Botanique a également la possibilité d'organiser certains concerts dans un chapiteau lors des Nuits Botanique ainsi que dans des lieux extérieurs tel que Bozar ou l'Église Royale Notre-Dame de Laeken.
