Late Registration is the second studio album by hip hop artist and producer Kanye West. The album was released on August 30, 2005, and debuted at #1, selling over 860,000 copies in its first week. Rolling Stone magazine named it their Album of the Year, recieveing a rare 5-star rating in it's initial review. It has gone on to sell over 3.5 million copies in the U.S. and received a great deal of acclaim from critics.

Le premier single est "Diamonds From Sierra Leone", qui sample le générique du James Bond Les Diamants sont éternels interprété par Shirley Bassey. Ce single et son remix (avec Jay-Z) parlent du conflit des diamants, qui est un fait majeur de la guerre civile du Sierra Leone. Le second single est "Gold Digger", qui contient un sample vocal de "I Got A Woman" de Ray Charles, chanté par Jamie Foxx, jouant justement le rôle de Ray Charles dans le film biographique Ray. Il est devenu le second single de Kanye West à atteindre le sommet du Billboard Hot 100 (classement des singles aux États-Unis). Le troisième single est "Heard Em Say" (ft. Adam Levine de Maroon 5). Le quatrième est "Touch The Sky" (ft. Lupe Fiasco), produit par Just Blaze.
