- LP5 ist der bekannte Titel des namenlosen Studioalbums der britischen Elektro-Gruppe Autechre. Es wurde am 13. Juli 1998 auf Warp veröffentlicht. Das Album selbst besitzt keinen Titel, doch Warp Records nannte es "LP5", da es das fünfte Studioalbum des Duos ist. Eine ähnliche Strategie wurde bei der "EP7" verwendet. No title was printed anywhere within the artwork, in line with the later EP EP7; it has also been called Autechre, as well as Album, as listed on promotional copies. With the album, Autechre began abandoning the considerably warm and organic sounds of earlier albums like Amber in favor of a fine-tuned, technical style they had begun exploring on Chiastic Slide and the Cichlisuite EP, while also incorporating influences from electroacoustic music. - LP5 è il quinto album da studio del gruppo inglese di musica elettronica Autechre, pubblicato nel 1998 con l'etichetta discografica Warp Records. In realtà l'album non ha un titolo, essendoci sulla copertina grigia scritto solamente Autechre. Tuttavia la stessa Warp Records iniziò fin dall'inizio a riferirsi a questo titolo con il nome di LP5, per questo motivo ancora oggi alcuni lo definiscono semplicemente come Autechre Album L'album presenta un cambio di direzione nelle sonorità del gruppo. Abbandonate le sonorità melodiche e oscure del passato propongono pezzi più "astratti" e dominati dalla programmazione computerizzata piuttosto che dai synth. (it)
