His debut feature comedy, the Raindance 2013 official selection, Convenience starred Vicky McClure (This is England), Ray Panthaki (Ali G In da House), Adeel Akhtar (Four Lions) and Verne Troyer (Austin Powers). It received multiple 4 star reviews, including from EMPIRE magazine and won the Breakthrough Award at the 2014 BAFTA Cymru Awards. In 2018, Collins directed Tourist Trap, a BBC One Wales comedy series set in a fictional version of the Welsh tourist board. The show stars Sally Phillips and has run for two series and two specials.
