Jonny is the nephew of Patricia Quinn, who starred as Magenta in the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show. He's been with Snow Patrol since their first full-length release, Songs for Polarbears. Jonny broke his arm in a snowboarding accident and was unable to play in several shows during one of the North American legs of Snow Patrol's Eyes Open Tour. Since then, he has fully recovered. He proposed to his longtime girlfriend at Snow Patrol's homecoming show at Ward Park in 2007. (en)
