John Robert Nicholls (born 13 August 1939) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Carlton Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Widely regarded as one of Australian football's greatest players, Nicholls was the first Carlton player to play 300 games for the club, and was declared the club's greatest player.
