- The Iraqi conflict is an armed conflict that began with the 2003 invasion of Iraq by a United States-led coalition that toppled the government of Saddam Hussein. The conflict continued as an insurgency emerged to oppose the occupying forces and the post-invasion Iraqi government. The United States officially withdrew from the country in 2011 but became reinvolved in 2014 at the head of a new coalition. The main phase of the conflict ended following the defeat of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in the country in 2017, but a low-level ISIL insurgency is ongoing in the rural north parts of the country. - El conflicto en Irak, también llamado como Conflicto armado interno en Irak, es el nombre con lo que se define al conjunto de conflictos ocurridos de forma cronológica, sucesivas y paralelas en el territorio de la República de Irak, iniciado el 2003 con la invasión estadounidense al país asiático durante la Operación Libertad Iraquí. Los conflictos se caracterizaron por las tensiones étnicas y religiosas que estallaron después de la caída de la Irak baazista y la muerte de su líder, Sadam Husein. El surgimiento de nacionalismos y radicalismos también se encuentran presente, siendo el más relevante el kurdo y el árabe y las ramas del islam, el chií y el suní. De igual manera la crisis económica que azotó al país después de la invasión estadounidense provocó un autoaislamiento que profundizó las guerras internas en Irak. En 2014 el conflicto en Irak toma un nuevo rumbo con la aparición de Estado Islámico y la expansión de la guerra civil siria en Irak, por lo que Estados Unidos volvió a intervenir militarmente mediante la Operación Resolución Inherente, así como nuevos actores internacionales como la Coalición Internacional Contra Estado Islámico e Irán.
