- Die IASPEI, ausgeschrieben International Association of Seismology and Physics of the Earth’s Interior ist eine der sieben erdwissenschaftlichen Assoziationen der Internationalen Union für Geodäsie und Geophysik (IUGG). Sie umfasst die Seismologie und die Physik des Erdinneren 1). Sie entstand als Folge eines Beschlusses der von Georg Gerland im Jahre 1901 einberufenen Ersten Internationalen Seismologischen Konferenz in Straßburg, auf der zunächst die am 1. April 1904 gegründete International Seismology Association beschlossen wurde, die dann später in die IASPEI aufging. Diese wurde wiederum 1973 als wissenschaftliche Vereinigung der IUGG angeschlossen. 1) Schwerpunkt sind die tieferen Bereiche des Erdinnern; die Physik der oberen Erdkruste ist hauptsächlich Thema der Geologie und der Angewandten Geophysik (de)
- International Association of Seismology and Physics of the Earth's Interior (IASPEI) is an international organization promoting the study of earthquakes and other seismic sources, the propagation of seismic waves, and the internal structure, properties and processes of the Earth. IASPEI is one of eight associations of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG). IASPEI initiates and co-ordinates international researches and scientific discussion on scientific and applied seismology. The activities of IASPEI focus on the societal impacts of earthquakes and tsunamis, with four regional commissions promoting high standards of seismological education, outreach and international scientific cooperation. - L'Association Internationale de Sismologie et de Physique de l'Intérieur de la Terre (IASPEI), (en anglais International Association of Seismology and Physics of the Earth’s Interior) est l'une des sept associations de sciences de la Terre de l'Union Géodésique et Géophysique Internationale (UGGI). Elle s'intéresse à la sismologie et à la physique de l'intérieur de la Terre. L'accent est mis sur les zones les plus profondes de l'intérieur de la Terre, la physique de la croûte supérieure est principalement l'objet de la géologie et de la géophysique appliquée. Elle a été créée à la suite d'une résolution de la première conférence sismologique internationale à Strasbourg, organisée par Georg Gerland en 1901, à l'issue de laquelle l'International Seismology Association, fondée le 1er avril 1904, a été créée. Elle intègre l'UGGI en 1973 en tant qu'association scientifique. (fr)
