- Human rights in Bhutan are those outlined in Article 7 of its Constitution. The Royal Government of Bhutan has affirmed its commitment to the "enjoyment of all human rights" as integral to the achievement of 'gross national happiness' (GNH); the unique principle which Bhutan strives for, as opposed to fiscally based measures such as GDP. In practice, Bhutan's human rights record has received criticism for the treatment of the Lhotshampa people, many of whom became refugees in Nepal, as well as for failure to uphold freedom of religion. - Les droits de l'homme sont garanties par l'article 7 de la Constitution du Bhoutan. La situation des droits de l'homme au Bhoutan est sujette à plusieurs préoccupations, dont la plus grande d'entre-elles est le statut des réfugiés bhoutanais et la protection de la minorité népalaise des Lhotshampas, déportée dans les années 1990 et vivant depuis dans des camps de réfugiés au Népal. Il y a aussi des inquiétudes quant à la liberté de religion, bien que celle-ci soit garantie : le prosélytisme non-bouddhiste est interdit du fait que le bouddhisme est la religion officielle du pays (75 % de la population la pratiquant). На практике ситуация с правами человека в Бутане была раскритикована из-за отношения к гражданам народности лхоцампа, многие из которых стали беженцами в Непал, а также из-за неспособности отстаивания свободы религии.
