- James Hugh Calum Laurie (Oxford, 11 giugno 1959) è un attore, musicista, comico e scrittore britannico, noto soprattutto per il ruolo del dottor Gregory House, protagonista della serie televisiva Dr. House - Medical Division. In Gran Bretagna ottenne i primi successi come membro del duo comico "Fry and Laurie" (formato con Stephen Fry), e successivamente per la sua partecipazione alla serie della BBC The Black Adder (nella quale ha interpretato George), con protagonista Rowan Atkinson.
