- Hinduism in Indonesia, as of the 2018 census, is practised by about 1.74% of the total population, and almost 87% of the population in Bali. Hinduism is one of the six official religions of Indonesia. Hinduism came to Indonesia in the 1st-century through traders, sailors, scholars and priests. A syncretic fusion of pre-existing Javanese folk religion, culture and Hindu ideas, that from the 6th-century also synthesized Buddhist ideas as well, evolved as the Indonesian version of Hinduism. These ideas continued to develop during the Srivijaya and Majapahit empires. About 1400 CE, these kingdoms were introduced to Islam from coast-based Muslim traders, and thereafter Hinduism mostly vanished from many of the islands of Indonesia. Indonesia has the fourth-largest population of Hindus in the world, after India, Nepal and Bangladesh. Though being a minority religion, the Hindu culture has influenced the way of life and day-to-day activities in Indonesia. Outside of Bali, many adherents of traditional indigenous religions identify as Hindus in order to gain official recognition. (en)

- В Индонезии практикуется особая разновидность индуизма, называемая на индонезийском языке агама-хинду-дхарма. Официально по последней переписи населения за 2010 год, индуизм исповедуют 4 012 116 человек, это 1.7 % от всего населения Индонезии. 81% всех индонезийских индуистов проживают на острове Бали, где индуистское население составляет 83.5%. Значительное количество индуистов можно встретить на Суматре, Яве (в основном тенгеры на востоке острова), Ломбоке и Калимантане. На острове Ява значительная часть мусульманского населения следуют неортодоксальной, смешанной с индуизмом форме ислама.
