- Die Sprache Gula Iro (Autonym kùláál) ist eine Bua-Sprache, die von etwa 3.500 Personen (Stand 1991) nördlich und östlich des Iro-Sees zwischen den Flüssen und Salamat im südlichen Tschad gesprochen wird. Es hat fünf Dialekte:
* páṭóól, der nördlichste und den Sprechern der übrigen Dialekte am wenigsten verständliche, gesprochen in und um Badi;
* pòŋààl, am nördlichen Ufer des Sees, gesprochen in und um , , und ;
* tɩ́ààlà, gesprochen östlich und südlich des Sees, einschließlich , , und ;
* tííṭààl, der östlichste, gesprochen in diversen Orten westlich von Tamba;
* korintal, gesprochen in . Gula Iro ist sehr nahe mit der Sprache und verwandt, aber sich sind sich nicht gegenseitig verständlich. (de)

* páṭóól (350 speakers), the northernmost and the least comprehensible to speakers of the other dialects, spoken in and around ;
* pòŋààl (2,000 speakers), by the north shore of the lake, spoken in and around , , and ;
* tɩ́ààlà (730 speakers), spoken east and south of the lake, including , , , and ;
* tííṭààl (200 speakers), the easternmost, spoken in various villages west of ; to which Ethnologue adds a fifth, Korintal (170 speakers), spoken in . Gula Iro is very closely related to Zan Gula and Bon Gula, but they are not mutually comprehensible. (en)
