- Στη Γουινέα διεξήχθησαν βουλευτικές εκλογές, έπειτα από πολλές αναβολές, στις 28 Σεπτεμβρίου 2013. Τα επίσημα αποτελέσματα ανακοινώθηκαν στις 18 Οκτωβρίου 2013. Το κόμμα του προέδρου Αλφά Κοντέ Συναγερμός του Λαού της Γουινέας (RPG) κέρδισε την πλειοψηφία των εδρών στην Εθνοσυνέλευση, με 53 επί συνόλου 114. Συνεπώς δεν κατέστη ικανό να αποκτήσει την απόλυτη πλειοψηφία παρότι οι σύμμαχοί του κέρδισαν επιπρόσθετα 7 έδρες. Τα κόμματα της αντιπολίτευσης έλαβαν 53 έδρες και οι ηγέτες τους κατήγγειλαν νοθεία. President Alpha Condé's party, the Rally of the Guinean People (RPG) emerged as the largest party in the National Assembly with 53 of the 114 seats. Przed zamachem Zgromadzenie Narodowe składało się ze 114 członków wybranych na pięcioletnią kadencję (38 mandatów obsadzono w jednomandatowych okręgach wyborczych, stosując ordynację większościową; pozostałych deputowanych wyłoniono w okręgach wielomandatowych, przy użyciu ordynacji proporcjonalnej).
