- Das Handbuch für die gute Hausfrau ist ein Text, der einem Gerücht zufolge am 13. Mai 1955 in der Zeitschrift Housekeeping Monthly erschienen sein soll. Er beschreibt, wie sich eine gute Ehefrau verhalten soll. Der Text wurde gemeinsam mit vermeintlich authentischen Bildern per E-Mail verbreitet, zunächst im englischen Sprachraum unter dem Titel Good Wife’s Guide, später auch im deutschen Sprachraum. Angesichts mangelnder Beweise sind große Zweifel hinsichtlich der angegebenen Herkunft des Artikels aufgekommen, so dass davon ausgegangen werden muss, dass es sich um einen E-Mail-Hoax bzw. um eine moderne Sage handelt.
