- Gjaidstein je 2794 m n. m. vysoká hora v pohoří Dachstein v Horním Rakousku východně nad hallstattským ledovcem. Je přístupná od horní stanice lanovky na jižním straně Dachsteinu (po ferratě obtížnosti A/B) nebo ze severu od chaty Simonyhütte (obtížnost I). Hlavní vrchol se jmenuje Hoher Gjaidstein (=vyšší), na jihu se nachází Kleinen Gjaidstein (=malý, 2734 m n. m.) a na severovýchodě Niederen Gjaidstein (=nižší, 2482 m n. m.). První zaznamenaný výstup podnikl v roce 1823 de Halley, ze severní strany. Vrcholový kříž z roku 1981 (cs)
- Der Hohe Gjaidstein ist ein 2794 m ü. A. hoher Aussichtsberg im Dachsteingebirge in Oberösterreich östlich oberhalb des Hallstätter Gletschers. Er kann von der Bergstation der Dachstein-Südwandbahn oder von der Simonyhütte aus in jeweils leichter Kletterei (I) erreicht werden. Neben dem Hohen gibt es auch den Niederen Gjaidstein (2482 m) und den Kleinen Gjaidstein (2734 m). Eine frühe Besteigung erfolgte 1823 durch de Halley von Norden aus dem Gjaidkar. Ob der einfache Gipfel bereits früher bestiegen wurde, ist nicht bekannt. (de)
- The Hoher Gjaidstein is a 2,794 m high mountain peak in the Dachstein Mountains in Upper Austria east and above the Hallstätter Glacier. It may be reached from the summit station of the or from the Simony Hut each of which is an easy grade I climb. As well as the Hoher Gjaidstein (="Higher Gjaidstein") there is also the Niederen Gjaidstein ("Lower Gjaidstein", 2,482 m) and the Kleinen Gjaidstein ("Little Gjaidstein", 2,734 m). The mountain was climbed as early as 1823 by de Halley from the north from the Gjaid cirque (Gjaidkar). Whether the actual summit had been conquered earlier is not known. (en)
