Virginia "Ginny" Duenkel (March 7, 1947) is an American swimmer who represented the United States at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She medaled in two swimming events as a 17-year old, winning a Gold medal in the 400 meter freestyle and a Bronze medal in the 100 meter backstroke.

Ihr stärksten Strecken waren die 200 m Rücken und die 1500 m Freistil, diese Strecken waren zu ihrer aktiven Zeit jedoch nicht olympisch. So starte sie bei den Olympischen Spielen 1964 in Tokio über 100 m Rücken und 400 m Freistil. Über 100 m Rücken wurde sie knapp geschlagen und gewann die Bronzemedaille. Einen Tag später konnte sie aber dann über 400 m Freistil den Olympiasieg erringen. Im Jahr 1985 wurde sie in die Ruhmeshalle des internationalen Schwimmsports aufgenommen. (de)
