  • Gimme A Bullet is a song by hard rock band AC/DC. It is the third track on the American release of the album Powerage, and is the second track on the European release. The song's lyrics were written by Bon Scott. The music was written by Angus Young and his older brother Malcolm Young. "Gimme a Bullet" was recorded at Albert Studios, Sydney. This song recounts the singer breaking up with a woman, either on the road or in what otherwise seems to be a distant relationship. He claims that alcohol and drugs will not help mend his broken heart. The song is exactly three minutes long on the European release of Powerage, but is three minutes, twenty seconds on the American release. The song is considered to be bassist Cliff Williams' most technical performance with AC/DC.It is also notable for being one of the few AC/DC songs too not feature a Guitar Solo at any point. (en)
