George Douglas Cochrane Newton, 1st Baron Eltisley, KBE (14 July 1879 – 2 September 1942) was a Conservative Party politician in the United Kingdom. He was appointed High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire for 1909. Following the First World War, he joined the Rural Reconstruction in the Department of the Ministry of Reconstruction. He was invested as a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 1919 New Year Honours. He was then elected as Member of Parliament for Cambridge at a by-election in 1922 following the resignation of the Conservative MP Sir Eric Geddes.
