- Fußball (serbisch фудбал Fudbal, früher Лоптање Loptanje oder Лоптање ногом Loptanje nogom) ist die in Serbien beliebteste Sportart, die dort seit dem 19. Jahrhundert gespielt wird und einen bedeutenden Stellenwert innerhalb der serbischen Gesellschaft hat. Er wird nicht nur in Fußballvereinen, sondern auch auf Bolz- und Fußballplätzen, Straßen, Hinterhöfen und Parks gespielt, sowie in Sporthallen, wo er als Mali fudbal bezeichnet wird. Auch nicht aktive Spieler sind in der Regel Fan eines bestimmten serbischen Vereins oder zumindest der serbischen Nationalmannschaft. Bei weiten Teilen der Bevölkerung nimmt der Fan- oder der Ultraskult einen wichtigen Stellenwert im täglichen Leben ein. Wichtige Turniere wie die Welt- und Europameisterschaft, sowie die Derbys zwischen den wichtigsten Mannschaften, vor allem des Večiti derbi, das „Ewige Derby“ zwischen den Belgrader Vereinen Roter Stern und Partizan, ziehen große Menschenmassen an, die die Spiele entweder im Stadion oder im Fernsehen verfolgen. Die größten Vereine konzentrieren sich in Belgrad, Novi Sad und Niš. Die erfolgreichsten Vereine sind Roter Stern, Partizan und OFK aus Belgrad, Vojvodina aus Novi Sad, sowie Radnički Niš. In Serbien besteht ein Ligasystem, an dessen Spitze die Super liga und die Prva liga stehen. In der Super iga wird der Serbische Meister ermittelt. - Football is the most popular sport in Serbia. The Football Association of Serbia (FSS) is the national governing body and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the game of football in the country, both professional and amateur. The association organizes the professional Serbian Superliga (top tier) and is responsible for appointing the management of the men's, women's and youth national football teams in Serbia. The association also organizes the Serbian First League (second) and Serbian League (third), operating the top 3 leagues. The FSS is also responsible for organizing the Serbian Cup, the country's league cup competition. It has been played from the end of the 19th century and there were a number of very successful Serbian football players and coaches throughout history. One of Serbia's top football clubs Red Star Belgrade has won the prestigious European Champions Cup in 1991 and has also won the Intercontinental Cup the same year. Its local rival Partizan Belgrade was the first Southeast and Eastern European football club to reach the European Champions Cup final, when it did so in 1966. The most successful and popular teams are Red Star and Partizan from Belgrade as well as Vojvodina from Novi Sad. La squadra più titolata della Superliga è la Stella Rossa, della capitale Belgrado, che dalla dissoluzione della Jugoslavia ha vinto la maggior parte dei titoli. Una citazione merita anche il Fudbalski klub Partizan, che nel derby di Belgrado contro i rivali della Stella Rossa dà vita al match più acceso del campionato jugoslavo e uno tra i più accesi d'Europa. Dejan Stanković i Savo Milošević rozegrali odpowiednio 103 i 102 mecze w reprezentacji Serbii. Według stanu na 1 listopada 2021 roku Branislav Ivanović ma już 105 występów reprezentacyjnych, a Aleksandar Mitrović strzelił 43 bramki w barwach reprezentacji Serbii. W serbskiej Super lidze grają takie znane kluby świata, jak Crvena zvezda, Partizan i Vojvodina Novi Sad. (pl)
