- Foot of the Mountain Es el Noveno álbum de estudio de a-ha. Es el segundo álbum con el sello de Universal Music. El nuevo trabajo retorna a las raíces de la música del grupo. Con motivo del disco, a-ha realizó durante 2009 la gira Foot of the Mountain Tour con tan sólo 18 conciertos. Fue lanzado el 12 de junio de 2009 en Alemania, el 15 en Noruega y el 23 en España. El álbum ha salido también a lo largo de junio y julio en otros países de Europa. Tras su lanzamiento, el álbum se posicionó en el #1 en la lista de álbumes de Alemania y en Noruega en el #2, donde tres días después de su lanzamiento recibió un disco de platino con 30 000 copias vendidas. Además en su primera semana en el Reino Unido el álbum debutó en el #5 puesto, la posición más alta de a-ha allí desde Stay on these Roads en 1988. Foot of the Mountain fue lanzado originalmente sólo como edición sencilla, que contenía el CD con las diez canciones, en junio de 2009. - Foot of the Mountain is the ninth studio album by the Norwegian pop rock band A-ha. It was released on 19 June 2009 and reached No. 1 on the German Albums Chart and No. 2 on the Norwegian Albums Chart. In its first week in the UK, the album debuted at No. 5, the group's highest chart placing in that country since Stay on These Roads in 1988. The overall sound of the record marks a return to the synth-pop style the band became famous for in the mid-1980s. Keyboardist Magne Furuholmen describes the album thus: "It's an album that incorporates the key elements that first defined the band: soaring vocals, synth hooks, yearning lyrics and melodic melancholia." Foot of the Mountain was A-ha's last full-length album before their split in 2010 and the last to the use the new A-ha logo before they reunited and reverted to their old logo. However, they did release a further compilation album 25 with their new single "Butterfly, Butterfly (The Last Hurrah)" before reuniting in 2015. (en)
