- Der Flokatiteppich (neugriechisch φλοκάτη [flɔˈkati] „wollene Decke, dicker Hirtenmantel“, von φλοκάτος, phlokátos „büschelig, flusig“, seinerseits von φλόκι, phlóki „Wollbüschel, Fluse“, entlehnt aus veraltetem (obsoletem) italienisch *flocco oder aromunisch floc < Latein floccus) ist ein traditioneller Einrichtungsgegenstand aus dem Pindos-Gebirge in Griechenland. In den 1970er Jahren hatte der Teppich eine modische Beliebtheit über Griechenland hinaus, ebenso später als Gegenstand von Retrowellen. Traditionell wurden Flokatiteppiche aus naturfarbener Wolle hergestellt. Durch Einfärbung der Wolle vor dem Weben werden heute aber zunehmend auch farbige Flokatis produziert. (de)
