She ran the 'top bend' (third leg) of the British 4x100m relay team which took a silver medal in the 2006 European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg. In the 2008 Olympics she reached the semi-finals of the 200m, and was in the British 4x100m relay team which reached the final, only to crash out when well-placed for a medal due to a mix-up between Freeman and her team-mate Montell Douglas on the second changeover.
