- Elst is a railway station located in Elst, Netherlands. The station was opened on 15 June 1879 and is located on the Arnhem–Nijmegen railway. The station is operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen, with the service towards Tiel operated by Arriva. Just south of the station the Elst–Dordrecht railway branches off towards Tiel. The station has 3 platforms, a waiting area with multiple covered waiting areas. There is a bus stop located at the west side of the station, a parking garage on the east side, and bicycle sheds on both sides At the time when the Elst–Dordrecht railway had an important significance for freight transport, was there a shunting yard (without a shunting hump) located east of the station. The tracks were broken up in the 1980s, and the location is no longer visible since the car and bicycle tunnels were built. At this moment is an outpatient clinic is being built on the location of the shunting yard. The trains from the Elst–Dordrecht railway have to cross the track in the direction of Nijmegen before entering Elst. Because the Arnhem–Nijmegen railway is quite busy, it was decided to give the trains from the Elst–Dordrecht railway their own departure track with a platform in Elst. This is a terminal track so that the trains to the Elst–Dordrecht railway no longer depart from Arnhem but from Elst. Construction of the third track started in early 2014. Since the end of 2014, the third track can be used. The end track has been put into use from the 2017 timetable, with Elst being the terminus of the Arnhem Centraal - Tiel train service once an hour during off-peak hours. (en)

- Station Elst is een spoorwegstation in Elst aan de spoorlijn Arnhem - Nijmegen (geopend 15 juni 1879). Het station is beginpunt van de Oostelijke Betuwelijn (Elst – Tiel – Geldermalsen; geopend 1 november 1882), hoewel de treindienst op die lijn begint in Arnhem. Station Elst heeft 3 sporen, een wachtruimte plus losse abri's. Aan het station ligt een bushalte. Aan de oostzijde zijn een fietsenstalling en een parkeergarage gebouwd. In de tijd dat de Betuwelijn een belangrijke betekenis voor het goederenvervoer had, bezat het station Elst een rangeerterrein (zonder rangeerheuvel). De sporen zijn in de jaren 1980 opgebroken, en sinds de aanleg van de tunnels is de locatie niet meer zichtbaar. Er zijn plannen om op de locatie van het voormalige rangeerterrein een polikliniek van Rijnstate te bouwen, hierbij zal de locatie in Arnhem Zuid gaan sluiten. Er wordt onderzocht of dit haalbaar is, dit onderzoek zal waarschijnlijk tot eind 2019 duren. De treinen vanaf de Betuwelijn moeten voor binnenkomst in Elst het spoor richting Nijmegen kruisen. Omdat het traject Arnhem Centraal – Nijmegen vrij druk is, werd besloten om de treinen vanaf de Betuwelijn een eigen vertrekspoor met perron in Elst kunnen krijgen. Dit is een kopspoor waardoor de treinen naar de Betuwe niet meer vanuit Arnhem vertrekken maar vanuit Elst. In het begin van 2014 werd begonnen met de bouw van het derde spoor. Sinds eind 2014 kan het derde spoor gebruikt worden. Vanaf dienstregeling 2017 is het kopspoor in gebruik genomen, waarbij in de daluren Elst eenmaal per uur het eindpunt van de treindienst Arnhem Centraal - Tiel is. (nl)
