- Eat the Document ist ein Dokumentarfilm über Bob Dylans Großbritannien-Tour von 1966, die er mit The Hawks unternahm und bei der er erstmals mit elektrischer Gitarre auftrat. Dylan führte Regie und schnitt den Film gemeinsam mit und D. A. Pennebaker, der im Jahr zuvor Dylans Großbritannien-Tour mit dem Film Dont Look Back dokumentiert hatte. Eat the Document war ursprünglich für die Reihe Stage ’66 des Fernsehsenders ABC gedacht. Der Film wurde der Öffentlichkeit nie zugänglich gemacht. Einige nichtautorisierte Kopien befinden sich im Besitz von Sammlern, darunter auch Kopien eines längeren Ausschnitts, in denen ein unter Drogen stehender Dylan zusammen mit John Lennon in einem Taxi zu sehen ist. Der Film enthält unter anderem ein Interview mit dem Besucher eines Konzerts in Manchester, der während der zweiten Hälfte, in der Dylan elektrische Gitarre spielte, „Judas“ rief. - Eat the Document is a documentary of Bob Dylan's 1966 tour of parts of Europe with the Hawks. The cover photo was taken on the train line between Dublin and Belfast, near Balbriggan. It was shot under Dylan's direction by D. A. Pennebaker, whose groundbreaking documentary Dont Look Back [sic] chronicled Dylan's 1965 British tour. The film was originally commissioned for the ABC television series ABC Stage 67. Though shooting had completed for the film, Dylan's July 1966 motorcycle accident delayed the editing process. Once well enough to work again, Dylan edited the film himself. ABC rejected the film as incomprehensible for a mainstream audience. It has never been released on home video and prints are rarely screened in theaters. Some footage filmed for Eat the Document was used in Martin Scorsese's 2005 documentary on Bob Dylan, No Direction Home, and 3 song excerpts are special features on the DVD. (en)

Dylan contestaría al seguidor diciendo: "No te creo. Eres un mentiroso", antes de ordenar a su banda: "Tocar jodidamente alto" para enmarcarse en una versión eléctrica de "Like a Rolling Stone". Más material del largometraje incluye escenas de Dylan y Robertson en habitaciones de hotel a lo largo de Inglaterra tocando canciones inéditas, así como un dúo con Johnny Cash.
