EURid vzw/asbl (European Registry for Internet Domains) is a non-profit organisation established on 8 April 2003 by the European Commission as the domain name registry to operate the new .eu top-level domain. EURid is a consortium of three European ccTLD operators: DNS Belgium, IIT-CNR and NIC-SE . It has been established in Belgium, having its headquarters in Brussels. In October 2006, they opened their first branch office in Stockholm. Two further branch offices have been opened in Italy and the Czech Republic.

Die Gründung einer Gesellschaft zur Verwaltung der .eu-ccTLD wurde in der EU-Verordnung 733/2002 festgelegt. EURid wurde von der Europäischen Kommission am 22.
